Art by Post exhibition
September 20, 2021 - October 3, 2021

An online and physical exhibition showcases artworks made as part of this landmark Covid-19 initiative, which delivered free creative activities across the UK. Art by Post: Of Home and Hope celebrates the power, resilience and positivity of participants in Art by Post, launched in May 2020.
The project has provided free cultural activities to 4,500 people across the UK aged 18 to 103 at risk of social isolation, loneliness and digital exclusion.
The exhibition is made up of more than 600 artworks made in the confines of people’s homes, in response to the artist-commissioned booklets. Delivered in partnership with the National Academy for Social Prescribing, this exhibition highlights the power and potential of the role of creativity in people’s lives, their health and wellbeing.
The physical exhibition opens at the Southbank Centre 20th September to 3rd October before touring the length of the country. The exhibition then tours to five venues nationwide, from October 2021 through to February 2022.
