Brainability – Exercise and Dance to Preserve Brain Health
December 7, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
A4D follows its first professorial A.R.T.S. (Activities to Revitalise The Soul) for Brain Health webinar with a focus on Brainability – on how social prescribing to weekly exercise and arts activity as peri-diagnostic practice, at the outset of symptoms of a potential dementia, empowers people to preserve their brain health.
This second webinar, ‘Brainability – Exercise and Dance to Preserve Brain Health’, will be held on Tuesday 7 December, 10-11 am. Discussing physical activity and digital access, the webinar will include a debate between Sir Muir Gray, Director of the Optimal Ageing Programme at The University of Oxford, and Fergus Early, Artistic Director of Green Candle Dance, chaired by Dr Charles Alessi, Senior Advisor to Public Health England.
Following on from the publication of A4D’s report, A.R.T.S. for Brain Health: Social Prescribing as Diagnostic Practice for Dementia (Veronica Franklin Gould, 2021) this webinar series will offer an in-depth look into the themes which informed the research.
