Drawing with Holbein at Buckingham Palace
February 13 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
This workshop programme is for people experiencing early-stage dementia, mild cognitive impairment or memory challenges, and their companions.
Arts 4 Dementia and The Royal Collection are delighted to be working together for another year, offering a 6-week exhibition tour and drawing workshop at The Queen’s Gallery in February 2024, taking place every Tuesday 11am – 1pm.
Join the group and marvel at the Hans Holbein Exhibition! During the sessions Catherine, one of the Gallery’s fantastic guides will be taking participants through the exhibition, and focusing on a different theme, drawing and painting each week.
At the end of the tour, you will take part in a practical workshop in the gallery with a mixed media artist. Taking inspiration from the sketches, drawings and paintings in the gallery, you will create your own Holbein-inspired artworks. Learn how to draw and mark-make with a variety of materials from charcoal, chalk and graphite in the stunning gallery space.
Please note the programme is FREE of charge and all materials, and light refreshments will be provided.
Numbers are restricted so if this sounds appealing to you, call Arts 4 Dementia on 020 3633 9954 or email email@example.com for more information and to register in advance. Only those who expect to be able to attend all 6 sessions from February 13 – March 19 2024 can be accommodated.
