Learn from Arts 4 Dementia, their partners, and beneficiaries about the impact of the arts for people living with dementia.

About this event

The arts – from painting and sculpture to singing and dance – can be life changing for people with dementia and their companions. Arts activities empower, inspire, and improve confidence, helping people retain their identity and live happier lives in the community.

“My view now is I have dementia, but I also have a life” – A4D Participant.

Join A4D Chief Executive, Penny Fosten explore the benefits of the arts for brain health and wellbeing, as part of Dementia Action Week and Creativity and Wellbeing Week.

You’ll hear from inspirational guest speakers including partners from host arts organisations, with insight from participants as they discuss what they value about engaging in the arts.

At the end of the webinar there will be an opportunity to ask the panel your own questions about the work of A4D, explore how to bring this into your work, or how to improve the impact of work you’re already doing.

Guest speakers include:

  • Holly Power, Community Learning Producer, The Wallace Collection
  • Alex Schady, Art Programme Director, Central Saint Martins University of the Arts
  • London Arts and Health Forum
