A4D has teamed up with leading art and design university Central Saint Martins to provide an arts programme.  This series of practical art workshops is designed for people with early-stage dementia or mild cognitive impairment, and their companions.

The programme kicks off on 11th February 2022 and runs for eight Fridays, from 3 to 5pm. The sessions will start on zoom with the hope that, depending on government guidelines, the sessions may move to the site at Central Saint Martins in Kings Cross, London.

Alongside their Programme Director for Art, students from BA Fine Art will act as facilitators using skills and techniques developed during their time at Central Saint Martins. This will be an opportunity for participants to engage in a variety of visual art practices.

No previous experience is required to register, however only people who expect to be able to attend all 8 sessions will be accommodated.  Participants will receive a tote bag full of materials that will be explored each week.

Art School is a space for creative freedom and communal making. These workshops will offer an Art School experience helping you to discover your inner artist.

Spaces on this programme are limited, so if you are interested visit Arts4Dementia for more information.
