Dementia UK has brought together a range of useful financial tips and resources to assist and inform people at this difficult time.

With many families facing greater financial challenges due to the cost of living crisis, Dementia UK has reported a surge in calls to its Helpline.  

“Many families are struggling to meet the additional costs of caring for a person with dementia. Specific needs – such as being housebound, altered sleep patterns, incontinence and vulnerability to feeling the cold – mean families often have to increase energy consumption in order to maintain the health, safety and wellbeing of their loved ones.” Dementia UK website 

In this recent article, the charity acknowledges that potential delays in Attendance Allowance, Personal Independent Payments and Carer’s Allowance can add to current challenges.
