Think Local Act Personal plans online event to explore inequalities experienced by people without children in later life

Alongside Ageing Without Children and Community Catalysts, Think Local Act Personal (TLAP) will hold the free online event on Thursday, 28th September, 11.30am – 2pm.  The event aims to challenge assumptions, ignite meaningful discussions, and pave the way for a more inclusive future for people ageing without children.

With a growing number of people in the UK ageing without family support, the event will explore how this experience intersects with other key issues in later life and discuss ways to raise awareness and develop much-needed support.

Individuals who identify as ageing without children will share their diverse and often overlooked or misunderstood experiences. Breakout sessions will allow participants to explore different aspects of the ageing without children experience, with the option to submit questions to the panel. These sessions will cover topics such as social care, disability, intersectionality, rural communities, dementia, and faith.
