As well as raising awareness of dementia, Everyone Active is also aiming to raise £50,000 which could cover essential operations, including the basic costs of 17,500 people contacting the Dementia UK Helpline, where they can benefit from life-changing advice and support.
Paul Edwards, Director of Clinical Services at Dementia UK, said: “We’re pleased to partner up with Everyone Active and are grateful for their support. Physical exercise is important for everyone and could help to reduce the risk of dementia.
“Our Admiral Nurses on the Helpline listen to families with dementia and help them take back control. Through this partnership with Everyone Active and the funds raised, thousands of families can continue to access tailored and specialist support.”
