The IDEAL Research Programme has developed a guide to its Living with Dementia Toolkit

The IDEAL research programme, based at the University of Exeter, looks at ways of improving the experience of living with dementia. This toolkit, produced with Innovations in Dementia, is the result of co-production work with an involvement group of people with dementia and carers.

The toolkit is divided into five sections –

  • Stay safe and well
  • Stay connected
  • Keep a sense of purpose
  • Stay active
  • Stay positive

A downloadable guide to the toolkit is now available from the Living with Dementia Toolkit website, enabling readers to print this out and read offline.  Available in English and Welsh, the guide introduces the toolkit and the resources available.

For the full experience of the toolkit, you need to access the website as QR codes link you back to the homepage at various points. The site also features a handy ‘How to use QR codes’ video.  Individual resources are also available as PDF downloads, so they can be printed out and read offline too.
