“Dementia doesn’t just impact the person with the diagnosis – everyone around them, from family members to friends, is affected in some way. Because if you love someone living with dementia, you’re living with it too.” explains the Dementia UK website.
The campaign, which will be promoted on social media and through advertising in bus shelters, follows on from focus groups lead by Dementia UK to gather experiences from carers and aims to spread the word about the types of support that Admiral Nurses give.
Dementia UK is a specialist dementia nurse charity offering support and advice, visit Dementia UK, or call 0800 888 6678, for more information and to learn about the support on offer.
If you would like to help with the campaign there is also a page where you can download posters to print out or graphics for use on social media.
