The Professional Record Standards Body develops and helps implement standards for the structure and content of health and social care records to ensure that the right information is recorded correctly and can be accessed easily.
Shared decision making is a collaborative process where clinicians and individuals consider treatment options based on evidence about their potential benefits and harms, to enable the person to decide the best course for themselves. The conversation and decision made should be informed by the person’s priorities and concerns, wishes, preferences and goals.
The PRSB has worked with stakeholders across the UK to develop a new Shared Decision Making standard, and would like your feedback. Information gathered in this survey will help shape the final standard which is due to be published in summer 2022.
