The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman will publish an insight report on complaints received about NHS Continuing Healthcare (NHS CHC).
A report is being released by The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman looking into complains received about NHS CHC.
The report focusses on complaints made about care and support planning failings which have left people having to fund their own care and being unaware of what they are entitled to.
Ombudsman Rob Behrens, said:
Our casework demonstrates that failing to provide vulnerable people with the care they are entitled to causes huge suffering, as well as financial harm, for them and their families.
NHS CCGs must improve communication with patients and families and properly train staff to make sure they get continuing healthcare funding decisions right first time.
