Alzheimer Europe’s Public Involvement pool has been proven to improve the quality of research on dementia-related topics by enabling researchers to benefit directly from the input of people living with dementia, reflecting the principle of “nothing about us without us.”

The aim of the group is to develop a platform where people with or at risk of dementia, anyone with cognitive difficulties, dementia carers and members of the public interested in or concerned about dementia can share their opinions, perspectives and experiences.

People joining this growing community of individuals from a range of European countries will have the opportunity to participate in online or in-person consultations, focus groups, written discussions and brief surveys, sharing their views on topics of interest to them (ie. use of artificial intelligence in dementia research, societal needs of people living with dementia, discrimination).  They will also get regular updates about research developments and receive information about interesting events.

The platform is open to those living in European-region countries, including the UK. If you or someone you know might be interested in getting involved, visit Alzheimer Europe for more information or to submit an application.
