As Dementia Lead at the University of Wolverhampton, Dr Karan Jutlla is responsible for providing leadership in dementia care curricula and research, and promoting a culturally competent workforce in healthcare.
This current research project follows up on a recent, yet to be published, report by the Alzheimer’s Society that found a lack of appropriate post-diagnostic support from services for South Asian communities.
Through this research Dr Karan Jutlla wants to understand experiences of post-diagnostic dementia support for this community: “This is a great opportunity to tell your story and get your voice heard. Even more, this is an opportunity to help policy makers and services in England provide better care for South Asians living with dementia”.
If you, or someone you know might be interested in contributing to this research, you can find out more by contacting Dr Jutlla via her website, Facebook, or email.
