Your personal experience will help the NIHR research unit understand these conditions better and your input will improve research which will directly help people living with these diseases.
There are currently two types of opportunity:
- Join the lived experience group and support research project
The lived experience group meets online about once a month for an hour, over three years. Members of the group will also support research projects in an advisory capacity to ensure that lived experience is included in all aspects of the research.
Time commitment for this role is 2-4 hours per month, including all meetings and preparation time. You will be reimbursed for your time and expenses.
- Become a community champion
As a community champion you will help NIHR take their research into your community through event roadshows, ensuring that your voice is heard in these projects.
There is no monthly time commitment for this role. You will be reimbursed for your time and expenses when taking part in a project or event.
