At a glance

With the aim of recruiting 1000 new carer members, tide launches their new campaign '£1000 for 1000 carers' and details of how you can get involved.

Tide (Together in Dementia Everyday) has the mission to “connect, enable and mobilise carers and former carers of people with dementia to use their experience to influence change.” Carer members of the organisation have access to free online events, information and advice, including the Carer Development Programme. This programme is a series of online informative sessions on topics, each session expertly developed alongside people with lived experience of caring.

The new ‘£1000 for 1000 carers’ campaign aims to recruit 1000 new carer members in 2024. If you’d like to support the campaign, here’s some suggestions from tide of how you can get involved:

Support tide:

  • If you are a tide member then please share tide with anyone you know who has been affected by dementia
  • If you have attended any tide events, please recommend them to a friend or leave some feedback via carers@tidecarers.org.uk or on social media
  • If you are part of a dementia related organisation, please share this campaign and tide work with your network
  • Download the promotional pack for social media images and draft posts

Sponsorship:

  • If you are part of an organisation, you can help tide achieve their vision by donating £1000 to the fundraiser. By supporting tide, you become part of that long-term work to ensure they provide people affected by dementia with the support they desperately need.
  • Everyone and anyone can help tide gather more sponsors by sharing this campaign with organisations and businesses you know! If you would like to contact them via email, you can download this draft email
